About Scott Tarbell
Scott was born into a ranching family in North Dakota and then moved to Wyoming at a young age where he graduated high school in Laramie and attended the University of Wyoming. Even as a youngster, Scott always had a fascination and interest in our Western Heritage. Little did he realize then, this would become not only his life's passion, but his career path as well. Early on as a teenager, Scott went to work for several dealers who specialized in horses and horse drawn equipment, along with antique Cowboy and Indian collectibles. Since the early 1980s, and over the last 20-plus years, he has worked for numerous major western auction companies within this unique industry, all across the United States.
As a result Scott has refined and focused his business model, to specialize in Pre-1900 Western Artifacts. In the process, his love and admiration for Winchester firearms is well known by his friends and customers, and he always has a presence at all the major gun shows across The United States, annually. By making his home here in Loveland Colorado, Scott's focus has been greatly enabled, by having immediate access to so many sources of the grand era of the American Cowboy and Native American population, and subsequently has been able to spotlight phenomenal finds, that are true ole' west collectibles within the industry.
Keeping the industry in the public eye and keeping the love and respect of our Western History Alive, thru its artifacts has truly become Scotts dream. This year, 2015, with his new headquarters location in Loveland CO, he has stepped forward once again to bring the western auction into an even greater spotlight with the larger market access that Loveland provides - Denver, Cheyenne, Greeley, Ft Collins, Laramie, among many others. He feels confident that his dealers, clients, visitors and enthusiasts alike, can only benefit from the broader market and larger collector population in the Northern Colorado marketplace. Quite simply because there is such a concentration of those who share the love of the history of our Old West, and all its Grand Heritage.
